A workforce is only as strong as its weakest point. For too long the blue-collar workers have been neglected by companies up to a point that that they feel under-valued, overworked and under-appreciated. Blue-collar workers often are interested in working their way through the ranks of a company to attain greater levels of responsibility and greater salary ranges. Promote from within when possible and offer mentoring and professional training development opportunities. If left unchecked, high turnover can significantly and negatively impact business operating budget.
